  Gwanggaeto-III Batch-II Integrated Sonar System (Hull Mounted Sonar)

  Refers to the equipment that combines and processes the signals acquired from the active and passive acoustic sensors installed on the Gwanggaeto-III Batch-II to detect, track, and recognize a submarine (midget submarine) and torpedo, and provides the detected information to the AGEIS combat system. Of the shipboard equipment, transmitting and receiving devices of hull mounted sonar and towed sonar, we are developing transmitting and receiving devices for hull mounted sonar.

  Hull Mounted Sonar for Next GenerationFrigate (FFX)

  Refers to hull mounted sonar (HMS), equipped on a next generation frigate, which detects, tracks and recognizes an underwater target. It has an automatic warning function against an enemy's torpedo attack. We are manufacturing and supplying a sonar dome installed on the hull of a ship, an array sensor, a terminal box installed in a sonar room, and high output transmitters of a transmitter and receiver cabinet.

  Towe d Array Sonar System (TASS) / Torpedo Acoustic Counter Measures (TACM)

  Refers to the latest towed array sonar system equipped in a Ulsan class Batch-II guide ship in 2017. It tows an improved line array type sensor that can detect underwater targets such as a surface vessel, submarine, and torpedo from a great distance. In addition, this towed sonar system improved the antisubmarine operation capability of the vessel equipped with this system by providing stable system design, improved signal processing capability, as well as tracking and detecting functions.

  
• Ultra Low-Frequency Towed Array Sonar System (ULTASS)

  Ultra Low-Frequency Towed Array Sonar System (ULTASS)

  Refers to long distance, underwater, and early warning systems, equipped in a surveillance ship, which collects acoustic information on an underwater target, and detects, tracks, and recognizes the target, providing target information to a surrounding operation force. The acoustic information collected by the surveillance ship is inputted in the target acoustic recognition information database of the marine tactics information center for distribution.

Integrated Marine Environment Analysis Equipment (NAIMS System)

Predicts 3D marine environment in connection with the outside organization's data and observation data and predicts the detection performance of various Sonars based on this. It presents an optimum detection pattern by analyzing detection effectiveness. It is a system realized into one integrated system that, through post analysis of the information on antisubmarine exercises, can support the development of tactics and evaluation of exercises.

Jangbogo-III Sonar System
(Hull Mounted Active and Passive Sensor)

The Jangbogo-III sonar system detects, tracks, and analyzes the water surface or underwater target (surface vessel, submarine, etc.). It has a torpedo warning function and mine detection function. Of the eight types of array sensors including a passive array sensor, we are developing four types of array sensors (passive array sensor, passive ranging array sensor, waterproof array sensor, and active array sensor).

• Submarine Sonar

  Submarine Sonar

  The sonar system installed in Jangbogo class submarines has the functions of detecting, tracking, and analyzing an underwater target (surface vessel, submarine, etc.). This sonar project was performed as a offset trade project with the "A" company in Germany from 1990. It is installed in Jangbogo I and II submarines. STX Engine owns the submarine sonar manufacturing technology accumulated by doing business for approximately 20 years.

  
• Destroyer Sonar

  Destroyer Sonar

  Refers to an active sonar installed in Korean destroyers, which have the functions of detecting, tracking, and recognizing an underwater target. This sonar project was performed as an offset trade project with the "A" company in Germany from 1990. Currently, this sonar is installed in Korean destroyers I, II, and III. STX Engine owns the sonar manufacturing technology accumulated while doing business for approximately 20 years.
